This imposing Benedictine abbey dominates the village. On one of the pilgimage pathways to Santiago di Compostelle, it was founded in the VIIth century by black monks.

In the XIIth century Bendictine abbey, the Languedoc style column capitals represent both old and new testament scenes, one depicting David killing Goliath.
