A nautical base at Pont des Sables welcomes the visitors.

Representative of 22 communes, the Val de Garonne Tourist Agency opened in May 2000 to promote the tourist trade. Marmande's deputy-mayor Gérard Gouzes, born and raised on the Canal du Midi is its president.

During summer time The Tourist Agency's Gabare du Val de Garonne" - a restaured old wooden canal boat - takes you on a cruise on the Canal.

Near Marmande , in the middle of oaks and accacias forest the visitor enjoys a peaceful staying

Not far from the lovely port of call a monument is a reminder of the Gascon 's steamboat. It exploded during the two wars killing the five crew members.The boat was repaired and renamed Ville d'Agen.
