The Garonne sides

On the Garonne river, an old toll and merchant-barge port, Auvillar is one of the most beautiful villages in France.

You can visit many old monuments including: the chapel of Saint Catherine (the barge captains' Patron Saint) the clock tower which houses the bargee museum, the exceptional round covered grain market and the Art and Folk Museum with its famous collection of Auvillar porcelain.
