For two centuries locks allows navigation on the Canal du Midi .

    The Orb river, often subjected to the most violent flooding , gave in 1854 the purpose of building an aqueduct carrying the canal and straddling the river

    It is the largest aqueduct on the Canal du Midi with seven main basket-handle arches , 240 metres long, 28 metres wide and 12 metres high.
