The Occitan soil between Mediterranean sea and Atlantic Ocean is a land of many cultures.
The region was dominated by British influence and offers plenty of activities.
A cycle path cross the Aquitaine region going through the Guyenne, the Gascony and the Landes department forest. In the Midi-Pyrénées region a cycle path border the tow paths all the way through the department of the Haute Garonne. By 2003, the cycle path will be completed in The Tarn et Garonne and the Lot et Garonne. In the Languedoc Roussillon region the Canal du Midi cycle path is also on the works.
All along the Canal from Séte to Bordeaux there are many golf courses, leisure areas and family entertainment parcs.
If you whish to try yourself to plane gliding, motorbikes, delta planes or ULM, this is a place!
Waterways, rivers and the Canal are great for sailing or canoëing and of course lovely places for fishermen.
