Located around Carcassonne it used to be an important copper mining town and was
a strategic place in the Xth century.
Today, this small village of historical riches still has a beautiful Romanesque
chapel.
From the beginning of the XVIIIth century up to the french revolution it used to
be the Toulouse-Lautrec family's property..
During that time the village got to know prosperity with the agricultural development
of olive trees cereals, vine planting and wine trading. Until the end of the XIXth
century, its location on the Canal du Midi contributed to the export of its good.
